Arena Online is a massively multiplayer online role playing game, set in a land with a fairly typical fantasy cast of races, monsters, castles and environments.
Starting out with few abilities and being very weak, in Arena Online, as in similar titles like World Of Warcraft, you have to start to do quests to build your skills and abilities. The first thing to do is choose one of three races - Nordic, Elf or Human, and then you are transported to a starting area, where moving around with mouse clicks allows you to meet people who give you simple tasks and teach you the basics of Arena Online.
Graphically Arena Online is competent, but not at all flashy. The animation is weak at times, and characters often feel as if they are floating around! The interface may be intimidating to newcomers, but if you ignore it and talk to the first characters you meet who'll teach you the game, it starts to make sense.
While there is undoubtedly a lot of game in Arena Online, the English version is let down by poor translation and spelling throughout the game. Conversations are simply presented, but are sometimes difficult to decipher, as they are so badly written! This may not spoil your experience too much if you just want to get into battling monsters, and joining castle sieges.
Arena Online is a pretty generic MMORPG, which although it's playable is let down by some very badly translated English.
